How we make money

Short version: from some product links and from introducing you to installers. Never from changing what the data says.

Affiliate links

Some product links are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Tap & Air earns from qualifying purchases. If you buy through one of these links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code.

Installer quotes

When you request quotes, we share your request with up to three local installation companies, who may pay us for the introduction. We only share it after you agree on the form, and you can opt out of calls or texts at any time.

What payment does not affect

The data on city pages comes from public sources and is not changed for any partner. Product categories are recommended by fixed rules tied to the findings. We do not accept payment to change a city's results or to remove a finding.

Product claims

We do not test or certify products. When a page says to look for a certification such as NSF/ANSI 42, 53 or 58, verify it on the certifier's listing for the exact model before you buy. Treatment claims for health-related contaminants are regulated, and in California require state certification.
